Zoom - Adding and Sharing Your Pronouns
Information and a link to Zoom Support about adding and sharing your pronouns for Zoom meetings.
Overview
Care is our core Zoom value, and we understand that providing options for people to share more about themselves is important for improving everyone's Zoom experience. Pronouns are an essential piece to many of our diverse users expressing themselves and respectfully referring to others. While this can be particularly important to LGBTQ community members, we also recognize that pronoun sharing enables our users to better share about themselves and be more respectfully treated on our platform.
With the Pronouns feature, you can add your pronouns directly to your user profile.
When you add pronouns to your profile, they are visible to your Zoom contacts as part of your Zoom profile card in the Zoom desktop client and mobile app. You can also choose when or if your pronouns are shown during a meeting that you host or join, or webinar that you are the host or panelist for. Webinar attendees’ pronouns are never visible.
For free Basic accounts and accounts with a single licensed user, the Pronouns feature is visible by default. For all other account types, the Pronouns feature is off by default and must be enabled by an account owner or admin at the account level.
- *Notes:
- UWL Zoom accounts have pronouns enabled and is turned on by our UWL Zoom admins.
- You must update the Zoom desktop client to 5.7.0 to use the Pronouns feature.
