Stellic - Advisor Guide – Overview for Advisors
After logging into Stellic, you will typically land on a default Students view. This page provides a search bar and common filter options for searching for students. If you scroll down, you will see a list of all UWL students. You can create custom reports of students to access quickly from this page.
- Log into Stellic (https://stellic.uwlax.edu/)
- You will see the following dashboard, which includes any customized reports that you have created:
- Students: This menu provides a quick overview of all students at UWL. You can create customized reports of students to access groups of students quickly, such as Your Advisees. To create a custom report, first use the filters to create a list of students. If you want to create a Your Advisees report, select the Advisors filter and type in your name in the “Enter Advisor Name” search bar. Select your name, and a list of your advisees will appear below. Next, select the save as report button, choose New report, select continue, provide a title for your report, choose “Automated” as the Type, and select Save Report. Your new report will now be a tile that you can quickly choose to review, found under your saved reports in the Students menu.
- Programs: The programs tab allows you to see all the possible programs available to students at UWL. You can search or use the filters to find a program. If you select a program, you can see all the required coursework for that program.
- Courses: The Courses tab allows you to search and filter for all courses at UWL. If you select a course, you will see the course details including the description and prerequisites for that course.
- Pathways: The Pathways tab allows you to see all the pathway templates available for particular programs that we have built for students to use to plan out their academic journey at UWL. Some pathways are automatically assigned to students based on their program. Pathways provide students with recommended, critical courses to take in particular semesters to stay on track. Students and advisors can use these pathways as guides to help students plan out their terms at UWL. If you select a pathway, you can see some recommended course sequencing specific to that program.
- Requests: The Requests tab shows you any outstanding requests for you to review from your advisees. A student may ask you to review their planned pathway for the next few years. These requests would show up here.
Note: The pictures included in this tutorial may demonstrate using Stellic in Privacy Mode, which removes a student's personal identifying information. You can enable/disable this mode in your version of Stellic using the key combination of Control-Shift-P.
