Printing - Pay for Print from a Personal Device

Learn how to print from your personal device — laptop, phone, or tablet — using the Web Print feature of the UWL Pay for Print system. This article walks you through logging in to the student printing portal, selecting a printer, uploading your document, and releasing your print job at a campus release station or from your personal device.

Need to print from your laptop, phone, or tablet? Follow these steps to submit a print job using Web Print and pick it up at any campus release station.

Step 1: Go to the UWL Student Printing website (opens in new tab) and sign in with your NetID and password.

Note: Only certain file types are accepted. Check the list of allowed file extensions on the upload screen before submitting.

Releasing Your Print Job

Once your job is submitted, you need to release it to a printer. There are two ways to do this:

Option 1 (Recommended): Use a release station on campus. Visit any campus release station, swipe your student ID or enter your NetID and password, and select your job to print it. This is the best option to make sure your document prints correctly and doesn't get lost.

Option 2: Release from your personal device. If you prefer to release the job from your phone or laptop, make sure you are standing near the printer first. In the Web Print portal, click the Held in a Queue link under the Status column.

Under the Action column, choose to print or cancel your job.

Finally, select the specific printer location you want to send your job to and it will be released.
