Since the campus has moved to remote status due to COVID-19, ITS has received questions on how end users can remotely access their UWL office VoIP phones to manage incoming and outgoing messages. There are two ways this can be accomplished.
Option #1 Call 785-5000
First, from any phone simply call 608-785-5000 and Press *. Then dial the last four (4) digits of your office phone number, then press #. After you enter your PIN, then press #. Follow the menu and make the necessary changes.
This process and additional VoIP information can be found at: https://www.uwlax.edu/its/network-telecom/voip/#tm-voicemail

Option #2 Using Cisco Jabber to Manage Your VoIP Phone
The second option to manage your office VoIP phone is through the Cisco Jabber application which is a free download. Faculty and staff are encouraged to download Cisco Jabber which is a powerful unified communications tool providing instant messaging (IM), voice, video, voice messaging, desktop sharing, and conferencing. If you have already set up Cisco Jabber for your UWL office VoIP phone to access phone messages on your computer or mobile device, you are all set. You can manage your voice messages and make phone calls from this application.
The Jabber interface may look like this:
