ITS has been made aware of a current issue affecting users attempting to connect to the UW-La Crosse VPN

We have been made aware of a current issue affecting users attempting to connect to the UW-La Crosse VPN. Users may be receiving an error message that says, “The VPN connection failed.” This problem has been identified as a configuration issue with the VPN client software following a recent update.

The appropriate changes have already been implemented, and we are waiting for them to propagate across the system. In the meantime, if you are having trouble connecting, please try the following workaround:

  1.  Open your VPN client.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow and select the “UW-La Crosse Multifactor” profile as shown below.
  3. Click connect.

This should allow you to get connected for the time being. If you still have troubles, please contact the Eagle Helpdesk
