SECURITY ALERT: Holiday Cyber Security

A friendly reminder to keep your guard up against online threats.

We're seeing a spike in sneaky phishing attempts through email and text messages. A classic trick is a bogus message saying your UWL account is about to be shut down. Here's the deal: the Eagle Help Desk will never ask you for your password. Seriously, if we did, we'd be totally in the wrong and probably owe you a treat! If you get a text message or email like this, don't reply or click anything.

Another big one uses subject lines like "JOB OFFER: REMOTE PERSONAL ASSISTANT POSITION." If a too-good-to-be-true job offer just lands in your inbox, it's probably about as real as a silent house on Thanksgiving morning. Be super careful with these. Don't fill out online forms from sketchy emails unless you are 100% sure who the sender is. If you're even a little unsure, please reach out to us to verify.
