Collaborate Ultra- How do students navigate to a breakout group?
Collaborate Ultra does not allow instructors to import or create groups and assign students ahead of a session. During a session, an instructor may create multiple breakout groups and have students join a group (that was previously designated).
After instructor starts breakout:
1. If right navigation panel is not already open, click on purple arrow in bottom right corner.
2. On the Attendee tab, you will see a list of students. Below that is the list of groups created by your instructor.
3. Locate your group name and select the "door" icon (rectangle with arrow pointing in it) on the right to join group.
4.You can verify you are in the right group by looking at the top of the attendee panel. It will say You're in: group name.
*If you selected the wrong group, or need to join a different group. the group name and select the "door" icon again.
What can you do in breakout groups?
Besides collaborating and discussing with your peers you can:
- Get your instructors attention by raising your hand or sending them a chat.
- Share content: whiteboard, files, and applications with the rest of your group.
