Canvas - How do I fix error code 1001 when trying to use Zoom?

If you have logged into Zoom with your campus email prior to the campus license being activated, you may need to follow the below steps to switch your account.

If you click on Zoom in Canvas after you have enabled in your course navigation and receive the Error Code 1001-INT, follow the below steps.

Steps to fix:

  1. Log into Zoom outside of Canvas by going to
  2. You need to see the below UWL Zoom Video Conferencing page, if you get the regular Zoom log in page, go into a different browser and go to
  3. Once you see the below page, select Sign in- Configure your account.

  4. This will take you through the UWL log in and DUO. 
  5. You will need to switch your account to UWL. Follow the steps on the page. 
  6. You should receive an email from Zoom to finish switching your account.

Log into Canvas/refresh the page to try accessing again the Zoom integration again.
