HR employee resources - Employee onboarding program - Supervisor review of task

This article is to help supervisors recognize how they will be contacted by the employee onboarding system.

Supervisors will be contacted at certain intervals in the employee onboarding process.  The primary notices they will receive are:

  • Notice to review a document when the new or returning employees' UWL email, NetID, and employee ID have been activated.
  • If the new or returning employee is required to submit an outside activity report, the supervisor will have to view the document and approve it.

Email notification

Supervisors can expect an email similar to the one pictured here, inviting them to view a document.  The document information will be included in the body of the email.  The email address that will be used is do-not-reply@ted.peopleadmin.com.

Navigating your task list

Your task list will provide you details of the task name that requires your review or approval.  The "Related Staff", is the name of the new/returning employee.  The "Actions" column will define what action is required; whether that be "viewing" the document or "Signing/Reviewing/Approving".

Reviewing or approving the form

When you click on the action button located in the far-right column of the task, a new window will populate and you will need to review its contents.  Please follow the instructions in the document.  To finalize the action, click "Save Final" or "Approve" located in the area indicated in the image below:
