Canvas - How do I use Vimeo?

Vimeo is an online videos storage and sharing site that allows users to upload, share, and view videos with a high degree of customization. The community of Vimeo includes indie, professional, and novice filmmakers. The Vimeo LTI tool lets users search for and embed instructional videos into course content.

Benefits of using Vimeo

Using Vimeo gives the advantage of the page creator not having to download, upload and host large video files. Also, if the original content is updated, so will your link (provided the URL or address does not change.) Vimeo doesn’t rely on advertisements so nothing will interrupt your video prompting students to watch it all the way through. Privacy settings give you detailed control over who can see your videos. Among other choices, you can password-protect a video or specify which accounts can view it.
