Storage Space Used (Mac and PC)

Determine how much storage you currently have and how much is used.

Mac

Click on the Apple in the upper left corner then choose About This Mac

Click the Storage tab than subtract accordingly

To determine how much space your account is using, open Finder then click Go > Home

Right click on a folder and choose Get Info

Note: Generally the only folders you should be concerned with are Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Movies, Music, and Pictures (Do not delete items in the other folders).

PC

Right click on the Start button and choose File Explorer

Locate Windows (C:) and subtract accordingly.

To determine how much space your account is using, open Windows (C:) then open Users, right click on your account (YourNetID) and choose Properties.

Once Properties appears then locate the amount of space (Size) your account is using.

If interested, you may open your folder and determine which folders contain the most information.

Note: Generally the only folders you should be concerned with are Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures and Videos (Do not delete items in the other folders). If Desktop, Documents and Pictures are not
