Canvas - How do I duplicate classic quizzes in a Canvas course or create a question bank from an already created quiz?

Quizzes can be tricky when trying to copy into the same course. They still have some association with the original quiz in the backend code of it and can result in a big mess if you are using in the same course it was created.

If you haven't created the quiz yet-

Create a quiz question bank with the question(s) you will be using continually, instead of trying to copy quizzes or creating new ones from scratch every time.
If you have already created the quiz in a course, those questions most likely will be in an unfiled question bank. You can create a new question bank and move the question from the unfiled into the new question bank. If they are not in the unfiled question bank, see below.

If you already created the quizzes in the course-

To create a copy of the quiz (or create question banks from already created quizzes) you will first export the quiz as a QTI package and then import that QTI back into the course.
If you are using this method to create question banks, you will have duplicate quizzes in your course that you can delete again after the import. If students have already attempted quizzes in the course, make sure to double check you are deleting the correct imported quiz.
