A step-by-step guide on how to complete a task once it has been assigned to you.

Completing a task once it has been assigned to you in BP Logix

There are two ways to access a task once it has been assigned to you. 

Approving task - Option 1:

Sign in to BP Logix at https://uwlax.bplogix.net/. For questions logging in, see KB114299

Once logged in, your home dashboard will show any forms you have available to submit, any open/active tasks you may have, as well as previously submitted forms. For completing a task, you will want to be focused on your task list.

Within your task list, click on the current task link to open the task. This will open a new window. 

Please note: If new window does not open, ensure that you have pop-up blockers turned off.

If there are any required tasks for you to complete, they will be marked in red. Please be sure to read and review the entire form prior to approving.

Complete required task (if applicable) and click Approve. This window will then close and you will be back at your BP Logix home screen, you can repeat this process with any other assigned tasks.

Approving task - Option 2:

When a task is assigned to you within BP Logix, you will receive an email with a small summary of the request and a link stating you have a task to complete.

Within the email, click the blue hyperlink to complete your task. This will open a new Internet Explorer/Google Chrome/Mozilla Firefox window.

You may be prompted to log in. Use your UWL email address and password. For more assistance logging in, see KB114299

Once logged in, the form with your task to complete will open automatically.

If there are any required tasks for you to complete, they will be marked in red. Please be sure to read and review the entire form prior to approving.

Complete required task (if applicable) and click Approve. This window will then close.

Returning task to form initiator/requestor

Follow the same steps as above to access the form for which you are assigned a task. You will see at the bottom of the page, the option to return to requestor.

In order to return to requestor, a comment is required. You will receive the following error without a comment, and unable to successfully complete this task.

Once a comment is entered, select return to requestor. This window will close. The requestor will then receive an email that they have a task to complete/fix. Or, once they log in to BP Logix next, they will see this in their task list.

Once the requestor opens the task, they will need to scroll to the bottom of the page to review any comments from the previous approver. They will then have full edit rights to the form, and be able to resubmit or cancel the process.

Once they resubmit the form, this window will close. The process will start over and the approver will then be assigned the task again. 

If they cancel the request, the form will close and the process will be canceled. 

Denying the task

Follow the same steps as above to access the form for which you are assigned a task. You will see at the bottom of the page, the option to deny the request.

Once you select the deny option, this window will close. The requestor will receive an email with the results of their request.

If the requestor would like to edit or resubmit the request, they will now need to submit a new form once it's been denied.
