  4. Click Send Me an Email. A reset code will be sent to your UW email address and any alternate email you have added to Okta.
Need to add an alternate email first? See Add a Secondary Email Address (opens in new tab).
  5. Choose how to receive your verification code:
    • Option A: Check your UW or alternate email inbox for the reset code. Check your junk folder if you don't see it.
    • Option B: Click Enter a Verification Code Instead to display the code directly in your browser.

Note: If you are off-campus, you may see an "Unauthorized" page after completing this step. This is normal — close the browser window and log in as usual with your new password.

For Faculty and Staff Off-Campus

After resetting your password, sync it with your UWL-managed computer:

  1. Connect to the UWL VPN. See VPN — Install and Connect (opens in new tab) for setup instructions.
  2. Lock your screen:
    • Mac: Apple Menu → Lock Screen
    • PC: Ctrl + Alt + Del → Lock
  3. Unlock your screen using your new password.
