For suspected or non-urgent incidents including lost devices, virus warnings, unexpected MFA prompts, or accidental data sharing, submit a ticket at support.uwlax.edu or email helpdesk@uwlax.edu. When encountering suspicious emails, do not click any links — forward the email immediately to the Help Desk. If you've already clicked a phishing link and entered credentials, change your password immediately on a different device and notify the Help Desk.

Report a Cyber Security Incident

Not sure if it's an incident? It is better to report than to wait. When in doubt, start with the Help Desk.

URGENT INCIDENTS (Call Immediately)

Examples: Ransomware, compromised privileged accounts, or breach notices from vendors.

PHISHING REPORTING

  • Suspicious Email? Do not click links. Forward the email immediately to helpdesk@uwlax.edu (unsure which)
  • Clicked a link? If you entered credentials, immediately change your password on a different device and notify the Help Desk.
