Canvas - How do students use groups?
When student groups are created in Canvas, students can navigate to them through the course or through the group tab in the global navigation. Groups have their own homepage where they can share announcements, create collaborations and participate in discussions.

Group discussions can either be created by the instructor for all the students in a course or by students in a group.
