Wireless - Forgetting a Wireless Network
Information about how to forget a wireless or a Wi-Fi network (UWL-Eagle and UWL-Guest).
MacOS (Apple Laptop):
- Click the wifi symbol at the top of your screen, and select Open Network Preferences.
- In the lower-right corner, choose Advanced.
- Under Preferred Networks select UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
- Click the minus (-) button to forget.
- Click OK.
- Now attempt to reconnect to UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
iOS (Apple Phone):
- From the home screen, choose Settings.
- In the settings menu, choose Wi-Fi.
- Locate UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest and click the blue symbol next to the name.
- If the option to forget the network is available, tap Forget this Network and attempt to reconnect to UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
- If you do not see the option to forget the network:
- From the home screen, choose Settings.
- In the settings menu, choose General.
- Locate Profile and tap on it.
- Select the profile for UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
- Tap on delete profile.
- Now attempt to reconnect to UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
Windows 10:
- Click the Network icon on the lower right corner of your screen.
- Choose Network settings.
- Click on Manage Wi-Fi settings.
- Under Manage known networks, select UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
- Then click Forget.
- Now attempt to reconnect to UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
Windows 11:
- Right-click the Network icon on the lower right corner of your screen.
- Choose Network settings.
- Click on the Wi-Fi banner.
- Click the Manage known networks banner.
- Next to UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest, click the Forget button on the right.
- Now attempt to reconnect to UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
Android:
- From the home screen, choose Settings.
- In the settings menu, choose Wi-Fi.
- Locate UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest and tap or press and hold it.
- Choose Forget.
- Now attempt to reconnect to UWL-Eagle or UWL-Guest.
